Wonderful time in Bolivia

The marriage retreat is over and was a great success. The people are all telling Kevin and Beth that they want to do it again. There were a total of 11 or 12 couples at the retreat. The Lord spoke to hearts.

Taking care of your missionary

1Corinthians 16:17 I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied. Paul mentions two laymen from the church at Corinth that have come to visit him. They have brought an offering from the church to him.

Talk is cheap and will make you poor

Proverbs 14:23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. It doesn’t matter where you work you can make a profit there. It is the cheap talk that leads to poverty. We spend so much time complaining about the job we have and wishing for the job that we don’t have that we end up losing our job

What is Our Mission?

Getting involved in politics on the mission field is a slippery slope. In restricted nations around the world, especially in those that are Islamic states or those that hold Islam as their state religion, evangelism is illegal and persecution of believers is commonplace. If we are not careful, it is easy to get sucked into endless debates and forget why we are working in foreign countries.
