This is from my wife’s blog. “Sometimes I think because John 3:16 is a verse we learn so young and we can spout it off at a moment’s notice, we forget it’s significance. Well, tonight God reminded me of the beauty of :”For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.” After church tonight, I was able to talk to a young girl named Claudia. My job couldn’t have been any easier, she was more than ready to accept Christ! She has been coming to church fairly regulary with her sister Regina (who I was able to lead to the Lord a few months ago) and decided tonight that she was ready to make a decision. Praise the Lord! It is always exhilarating to lead someone to Christ, but with her, it was especially exciting.

Are you serious? Could you possibly be inferring that Latin America doesn’t need anymore missionaries? Should we celebrate and retire because our job is done in Latin America? The above picture is actually from the back of a prayer card I picked up from a fellow missionary at a conference a few months ago. Not surprisingly, his ministry focuses on the 10/40 window.

A few years back a lady in my home town was convicted of murdering two men. Her weapon of choice was antifreeze. Death by antifreeze is slow and virtually undetectable by the victim. Its sweet taste makes an easy cover to disguise the poison. She slowly added antifreeze to the food of both her victims, until they were dead! A bullet is a completely different story.

Dear Pastor and Praying Friends: Quick update on all that is going on here in Arequipa. We have just finished up with our annual Pastor’s Conference. We had a great attendance with pastors from all over South America and the world that were able to come participate; men from Chile, Bolivia, Venezuela, Columbia, Morocco, the US, and of course Peru. This year’s main speaker was a dear friend and mentor, Austin Gardner. We were also privileged to have Chis Gardner with us for a few days, speaking in Omega Baptist church as well as at the Pastor’s conference.

Can you imagine spending long, exhausting days plowing and preparing a vast field? Can you imagine then carefully planting your crops and waiting for weeks to see that crop begin to sprout and grow ever so steadily? See yourself pulling weeds, keeping away the birds and small animals that would love to feast on the tender new shoots. As the heated summer days give way to the cool fall, you know harvest time is nearing.

Several of the young men from our ministry in Chile will be traveling this week to Arequipa, Peru to attend their annual Pastor’s School. It’s exciting to see Peruvian pastors training Chilean pastors for the work of the ministry. There is great potencial for the Latin American churches to prepare and send their own laborers around the world. As I heard this week a stirring report from my good friend Trent Cornwell about the overwhelming needs in India, I asked God to raise up Chileans to take the gospel to the Indians

Read this radical testimony from one of our 2012 interns. I love his total commitment to the cause of world evangelism. Do you have this much faith??? This past Sunday, we let the church know what God has been speaking to us about for a few months now. This January, I (along with my family) will be transitioning from the Assistant Pastor to Staff Missionaries and will be leaving for a year-long missions trip.

God has called us to reach beyond the boarders of the USA with the gospel. So many Christians have never left their comforts to travel abroad and serve on the mission field. Now is your chance! Throughout 2012 we will be hosting college interns in Santiago, Chile. This experience will give you hands-on training in church planting, language learning, and culture adaptation
