both/and not either/or

Some people are single focused missionaries.  They think about and promote their field and only their field.  After reading Walking Away at Crunch Time  and Death by Bullet or Antifreeze , you might think I’m one of those single focused guys, but that could not be further from the truth. Missions is not an either/or proposition.  Missions is a both/and proposition.

“Holy War” vs “Holy Discontent”

The following article is taken from  Soeren Kern , writer for Hudson NY.  Please take the time to read this, this is shocking stuff about Spain. Islam is growing at a much more rapid pace than Evangelical Christianity , and there is a reason! Muslim people are passionate about spreading their belief system, and their passion means that they are willing to sacrifice their time, their energy, their money, and even their lives to that end. What if we looked at a country where nearly 99% of the population either reject the Gospel, or more likely have NEVER HEARD it, and that sparked a passion to see Christ lifted up there? What if there was a holy discontent at 47 million people who worship wealth, success, Mohammed, the Virgin Mary….. everything but Jesus Christ

Voice in the Villages

We are looking for help to get material into the hands of unreached people groups. We are talking about people that do not have access to the Internet or other means of getting material and help. Many have already heard the gospel or have interest in the gospel. They need help

We find out where the person is and get Arabic literature to a pastor/church close by. The pastor/church in the local area will personally deliver the Arabic NT/literature

How Not to Witness to a Muslim Part 1

Few subjects in the world are as controversial as Muslim evangelism. So I figure, I’ll give it a shot. After all, that’s the name and purpose of this blog.

Constant danger. Safe return doubtful.

Last night here in Derry, Northern Ireland one of the men read the following in the World Evangelism Conference. I wonder what God is doing in your heart today. As you read this article I want you to prepare to hear about what men and women are doing to get the gospel to the world and it is often unappreciated! In 1915, twenty-eight men were alone, trapped in the ice-covered waters of Antarctica’s treacherous seas. “Frozen,” as one man put it, “like an almond in the middle of a chocolate bar.” These were the men of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition in the coldest climate on earth.

The Freedom Scale 7

The Freedom Scale 1 Freedom Scale 2 The Freedom Scale 3 The Freedom Scale 4 The Freedom Scale 5 The Freedom Scale 6 3. International Pressure in media and in diplomacy The last key to moving a country up the Freedom of Conscience and Religion scale is to apply international pressure through media and diplomacy. This is last because it is both last in importance and last in sequence. The first two keys will precipitate the third

The Freedom Scale 6

The Freedom Scale 1 Freedom Scale 2 The Freedom Scale 3 The Freedom Scale 4 The Freedom Scale 5 There are a few keys to the long-term progress of these countries up the ladder of the Freedom Scale: 1. Bold National Believers For each level there will be different consquences but the need is for believers willing to die for their faith. If we will be faithful to teach the Word the disciples will grow in their boldness. We do not force or even push a disciple of Christ to take a public stand with his faith. The Word of God and the Holy Spirit must do the pushing.
