Dear Praying Friends, Well, I have decided two things today: 1, truck drivers deserve more respect than they get. And 2… I don’t want to be one! Today finds us in the middle of the longest roadtrip we have attempted thus far on deputation: 5 days of driving from Cincinnati to home, home to Tucson AZ, and Tucson to Los Angeles CA. I’m excited about the meetings ahead of us this month, and for more than just the chance to get out of the car. God has really been good to us in opening doors to present our ministry in wonderful churches! PRAISES: We now have a reliable minivan! I wanted to say a huge thank you to Tim Ellison, owner of “Mr Godwrench” in West Chester OH for setting us up with a much nicer vehicle than we would have been able to afford without his help

Dear Praying Friends, Well, the 3 month road-trip is just about over, and we are looking forward to spending a few weeks close to home around Thanksgiving. October was a busy month with 13 meetings between NC, FL, TX, and OH! We have added 3 confirmed new partnering churches, and several more waiting Faith Promise commitments. Praise the Lord for His provision! God has really been teaching me to trust His purpose: if He made sure Jonah got to Nineveh when he didn’t even want to go, I’m pretty sure He’ll get us to Spain when we are hungry to get there and preach the Gospel! PLUG IN: I wanted to make sure to let you know about three of the best days on our calendar: Dec 29-31 of every year, Vision Baptist Church hosts the Our Generation Summit in Pigeon Forge TN. The Summit is for every Christian with a heart for missions, and is geared toward helping people of all ages, abilities, and occupations get plugged into world missions on a deeper level as a goer or sender. I could fill page after page with testimonies of people (including my own) whose lives have been affected in incredible ways from this event, but I’d rather see you come and have your own testimony! If you’d like more information about it, you can call me or visit www.bcwe.org . If you would like to come and cannot afford the registration fee, I’d love to take care of it for you.

I just read this email from a friend of mine, John Allen, who is a missionary in Papua New Guinea. I hope you will read it and cause you to pray for laborers: On the west side of our Kamea people lives another people known as the Tewata or Tainae. Their numbers are much smaller than the Kamea, perhaps numbering only around 1,000. They live in a few villages in a very isolated area, without an airstrip, an aid post, or any development

This past Sunday night we were coming home from church and as we were walking into the house, Mindy started to close the front door and was surprised when she felt someone pulling it back open from the outside. Immediately a gun was pointed at her and 2 men barged into our house yelling at us to get down on the floor. My parents and nephew had just arrived and thankfully each of our girls was close enough to one of the adults as we were made to sit down on the floor.

Mindy and I want to thank everyone for your prayers over the last few days. On Sunday night we were robbed when 2 young men followed us into our house with guns and yelling for us to get on the floor and give them our money. They took everything as jefe put on a blog and my purpose is not to say much about that, rather to say a big THANK YOU to all of our extended family.

Dear Praying Friends, The last two months have been a little crazy: between May and June we were home a grand total of 3 days! You know you have been on the road too long when you pull up to a motel, and your daughter yells: “We’re home!” Though it’s nice to be home for a few days, it’s been a great month on the road. We have had three new churches take us on for support, and had some of the best meetings so far. God is really touching some hearts about the need for the Gospel in Spain, and we are more excited than ever to see what God will do in Barcelona! Prayer Requests Salvation for people I have had the opportunity to witness to and develop relationships with: Javier & Michelle, Lenny (Lithuanian man), Michael, Chuck Laborers for world evangelization: both goers and senders! I am so grateful for opportunities to invest in people, and help them get plugged into the Great Commission in a bigger way. Pray that I’ll be used! Financial Support: Pray that we will have the right balance of patience and diligence. I don’t want to forget that progress comes from the Lord, but to work as hard as I can to the field.

I would like to thank everyone who has been praying for the Bushes, missionaries in Argentina, who were robbed at gunpoint last weekend. Below is an update from Mindy Bush from her facebook page. I thought it was an amazing testimony of God’s goodness. Thank you all for your prayers, messages and calls! We are so amazed and comforted with the the thought of so many people praying for us in this time.
