Be sure to have your most lively missionaries spend special time with the teenagers and young adults that God might work with them and call them to be missionaries. Use the missionaries that God is already using on the field so that they will be challenged and motivated to do something with their lives. Develop a personal type of questionnaire (interview sheet should be prepared before hand) sort of like “This is your life” and then reward the people for getting the information from the different missionaries. Anything you can do to encourage interaction with the missionaries will be a blessing to your people. Questions such as –favorite verse, signature, birthday, wedding anniversary, home church, favorite food and other interesting questions

Have a missionary teacher in every Sunday School class. Plan activity time with the missionaries and be sure to include different church people in everything. The more people that are involved the more they will know the missionaries and be concerned about them. Golf, bowling, shopping, etc. Be sure to give the missionary the option.

I just read this email from a friend of mine, John Allen, who is a missionary in Papua New Guinea. I hope you will read it and cause you to pray for laborers: On the west side of our Kamea people lives another people known as the Tewata or Tainae. Their numbers are much smaller than the Kamea, perhaps numbering only around 1,000. They live in a few villages in a very isolated area, without an airstrip, an aid post, or any development

This summer, our church will be hosting two camps. One for teenagers on July 25-29, and one for elementary age young people on August 18-20. These camps are a great ministry of our church.

My brother-in-law, Mark Pereira , is a national pastor in southern Portugal. He is doing a fantastic work for the Lord, and the ministry is growing both in number and spiritually! I was talking to him the other day about the next steps they are praying about in getting the Gospel to more people, and they have a real need for someone to come on a short-term missions trip to help them set up a more effective media ministry and train some of his church members to continue it. We will be trying to help him raise some funds to bring someone over, and also to purchase a quality video camera as well as some other equipment. If you would be interested in helping with this need, please contact me! The following is from pastor Mark: I believe we should be willing to reach the lost in our area with any communication means that we can. We are very involved in door-to-door visitation, tract distribution and recently we started an evangelistic news letter that we have been distributing

One of our prayers since we began to move towards the UK and Ireland was for more laborers. God is raising many more laborers for the harvest field. We are delighted to hear about the Mansfield family who just arrived in Liverpool, England. Jim Roberts and his family are on the way to Scotland. Stephen Kennedy is preparing to come to Ireland.

We are working hard at doing more than we ever have to get the gospel out in our city. We are trying to knock at least 1000 doors per week. Today, we knocked over 200 on the cityside. We had a fairly good response.

I would like to ask you to pray for some unexpected expenses that have come up, some through our own mistakes or oversights and others that could not have been avoided. 1. Tax for Printer ($500/£315) . We are making the final payment for our new printer this month. Unfortunately, when we figured the price of the printer, we forgot to include VAT (Value Added Tax) of %17.5 here in the UK.
