“A Global Day of Prayer for the Chinese” is a day in which we are reminded and encouraged to pray for the largest nation and largest people group in the world today! We need to pray for the over 1.3 billion in China and the millions of Chinese that live outside of its borders. It is a day for you and your local church to say a special word of prayer for the souls of China and the Chinese community all around the world. Pray that the Lord will send forth laboueres, that the gospel will be boldly proclaimed, and that God will be glorified among the Chinese people! This year Chinese New Year is on Thursday, February 3, 2011. What can you do? Here are a few ideas: Have special prayer for China on Thursday.

Hebrews 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. God wants us to live out who we are in Christ Jesus. We are to do good.

Hebrews 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened[ us] after their own pleasure; but he for[ our] profit, that[ we] might be partakers of his holiness. Our parents may have disciplined us after their own pleasure but our Father never does. He disciplines us so that we can grow in Him and be partakers of His holiness.

Hebrews 11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: Did you know that you can do right, get a good report and still not get the promise. That should comfort us. God has something better the next verse says. Sometimes I want to judge my conduct on results instead of obedience. Could it be that I could get be doing it all right and God just isn’t ready to give the promise

I am so excited about how God blessed the Matthew’s Banquet. We normally have between 135 and 145 in Sunday School but yesterday we had 174. We have maybe 170 or so in the AM preaching service but God gave us 250 in that service. We had dozens of visitors. All of you worked so hard

Hebrews 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. Hold on to your confidence in the Lord and His Word. Everything in life may try to shake your faith but God will bless as you trust Him and look to Him. He will not forget your faith. He loves you and He has prepared wonderful things for you! Trust Him today no matter what happens.

Hebrews 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. Jesus came and put away sin and its penalty by the sacrifice of Himself. We are saved by no merit of our own. He saved us. He has opened the door for all to be saved.
