A good preacher should have these properties and virtues; first, to teach systematically; secondly, he should have a ready wit; thirdly, he should be eloquent; fourthly, he should have a good voice; fifthly, a good memory; sixthly, he should know where to make an end; seventhly, he should be sure of his doctrine; eighthly, he should venture and engage body and blood, wealth and honour, in the word; ninthly, he should suffer himself to be mocked and jeered of every one. He should not be silent or mumble but should testify without being frightened or bashful. He should speak out candidly without regarding or sparing anyone, let it strike whomever or whatever it will. It is a great hindrance to a preacher if he looks around and worries about what people like or do not like to hear, or what might make him unpopular or bring harm or danger upon him.

I joined a service online where I pay a subscription fee and get two audio books a month then a percentage off any I decide to buy. It has been a great service for me personally. Often when I get home from work, the evenings are packed with spending time with my wife over dinner and studying my Bible that it becomes difficult to focus when reading a book. With these audio books, I am able to “read” while I am at work. It has done a couple things for me

I believe it was David Livingstone who said “I’ll go anywhere, provided it be forward.” That is most certainly our aim and direction as we continue through this season where we focus on our debt. We will go any direction, provided it be forward. As of this week, we are halfway through our student loan. Lord willing, we will cut that amount in half by April 2nd. Then finish it either by April 9th or April 16th

Greetings! This past week has been anything but slow! We have been seeing more than ever over the last seven days how important it is to schedule and prioritize our time. It has been busy but we are glad that we get to serve the Lord! On March 21st our church, Vision Baptist, will be celebrating its fourth anniversary. Though we have only been attending Vision for about eight months, we have seen God do great things there and pray that God will continue to do so.
