Book Review: The Pursuit of God (A.W. Tozer)

I usually put up a disclaimer every time I post a book review, the boilerplate “I liked some stuff. I hated some stuff. Don’t drop my support because I read this book please.” I feel like a book disclaimer would be totally unnecessary in this case. Here’s my only disclaimer:  I don’t agree with every doctrine that Tozer espoused,  but  this is a heart and attitude book, not systematic theology.

If you can read “The Pursuit of God” and come away with any other ATTITUDE than being broken over your sinfulness, in awe of God’s power and grace, and being filled with a renewed desire to know your Creator, just go ahead and break fellowship with me. We won’t get along :)

I heartily recommend this book to every Christian. It is not hard to read, not even very long. But it is a treasure. Get it, read it, RESPOND to it.  Here is the basic overview of the book with Tozer’s corresponding prayers:
