Personal Evaluation For Missions – Part Two
Here are questions 11-20 on your personal evaluation. Some of the negative attitudes on the field can be clearly seen while living in the states. Take question #19 for example. If you are picking eating in America, how well are you going to do in a foreign culture? The attitude, “I won’t offend them by not eating it if they don’t offend me by not asking!” is not the spiritual attitude a missionary should have. How would the apostle Paul have responded?
11. Do you seek to serve others?
12. Do you find yourself envious of others and their position of leadership?
13. How do you handle difficult circumstances?
14. How well do you adapt to new circumstances?
15. Are you a content person?
16. How do you view people at WalMart from other cultures?
17. Are you sensitive to other cultures and their differences?
18. Are you committed to learning another language?
19. How picky is your eating style?
20. Are you active in your local church?

Bishop Tony,
As always you bring a very thought provoking buffet to the forefront. Unfortunately, we cannot view what you have illuminated as a “take what you want and leave the rest!” type of thing.
I appreciate the questions and will try to keep them in mind daily! Thanks for the challenge!
Your Fishing Buddy,
