Thank God For Teen’s
I was just on the phone with Pastor Darrell Worley, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Salisbury, NC and wanted to share this story with you. A 13 year old young man was with his family in Lexington, NC visiting family and noticed another family. He goes over and starts talking with them asking if he could pray for them about anything. They let him know their mother was not doing well. Chris asked if she was saved and they said no and that it was really bothering them. Chris asked if he could talk with the mother and went with the family into her room. Chris, who has been taught how to lead someone to Christ with the Word of God, takes the Bible and before it is over with leads the mother and daughter to the Lord!
That encouraged and challenged my heart. May God use us when we go into churches to stir up the young people to serve God. Our mission ranks are decreasing in number and we need to pray the Lord of the harvest would send forth laborers into His harvest. May God use you to be so salty it makes the church thirsty for missions.
Love you and praying for you.
Bro. Tony

That is a great story! I was in a meeting in TN on Saturday with a whole group of teens and college age students. I asked them first if they had plans yet for life and they kind of shrugged, and half smiled. Then I asked them if they had prayed about it at all yet…i heard crickets. I knew this is usually the case, but I was trying to challenge them. Being young as I am, I have a great desire to see my generation come back to Christ and to become future missionaries and just better Christians. I was encouraged by seeing them at the meeting- on a Saturday! There is hope for them, and we should never count them out!
