Monday Night Football
As I sit downstairs, Monday night football is about to start. The commentators are talking about this team and that team and why they will make it to the playoffs and possibly the superbowl. I know some of you are not sports fans but there is a thought here, so stick with me.
The commentators are evaluating the teams running game, defense, QB’s, etc. The fans believe in the teams so much that they are outside in frigid weather conditions ready to support their team.
If you and I were a football team, would there be anyone in the stands? Do they believe in us so much that they would sit in freezing temperatures to “watch” us? Do we give them something to believe in? Something to get excited about? Are we playoff contenders for missions? Have we paid the price and are ready for game time?
Do we need to evaluate our Bible reading? Prayer time? Sermon preparation? What things are we strong in and what things need some attention? May God help us as we evaluate our ministries to be as effective for Him as possible.
Now, will I go for Green Bay or Chicago??? In honor of Bro. Aaron Short (missionary to Wisconsin) I will pull for Green Bay!
Praying for you,
Bro. Tony

Great blog Bro. Tony. It would do us good to get as excited and be as detailed and prepared as those teams. Nothing is overlooked or taken for granted in order for them to be the best.
Great blog until the bit about supporting Green Bay, clearly the Cowboys would be a better choice.
