I Want To Want Thee
This quote from A.W. Tozer was sent to me several days ago. It is one of those sayings that has a way of digging deep within the soul. Have I tasted so much of the Lord that it has made me thirsty for more? Is there even a realization in my life of the lack of desire? Do I want to want Him? While I am preaching, does it make others thirst to know Him? Do I glory so in the Lord that others would glory in Him as well? May God bring these things to pass for His good pleasure. I love you guys and pray that God works mightily in and through you.

O God, I have tasted thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, the Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, so that I may know Thee indeed.
