Respect For The Pastor
I can not emphasize enough the importance of going into a local church with the right attitude. I was recently with a pastor who loves God, missions and missionaries. What he told me made my heart stop.
A missionary came to his church last week and “told” the pastor what he was going to do. This is after the missionary had been told previously what the pastor expected from him. Upon telling the missionary again what the pastor desired, the missionary complied. The problem was that he took more time than allotted.
The next day the pastor received an email from this missionary that was very unkind. The missionary proceeded to tell the pastor that he was not mission minded, did not give the missionary enough time, etc. The pastor was in utter disbelief and so was I. (the missionary was not from Macedonia)
Please remember as you get ready for the weekend, you are an invited guest into another man’s church. Honor him, love him and be grateful for the opportunity. Encourage the pastor and church so that they are glad you came by.
