Ephesians 4:27
Ephesians 4:27 tells us, “Neither give place to the devil.”
It starts with a text message, a glance, smile, kind word or “prayer request”. It begins all too innocent and ends up with devastating results. Marriage is lost, testimony is ruined and the kids destroyed. A man or woman giving place to the devil and allowing somone else to ruin their marriage. This is not only happening in the world but in ministry as well.
Are you giving place to the devil in your relationships with the opposite sex?
Are your thoughts pure?
Are you involved in a relationship that makes your mate uneasy?
Would you be willing to ask them?
If they say yes, and you get agitated, you are in serious trouble.
What safety features have you established in your relationship with others?
Who are you accountable to?
Are you viewing pornography? Are you accountable to anyone for where you go on your internet?
How much time do you spend with your mate?
When is the last time you talked? I mean REALLY talked?
When was the last time you went on a date, just the two of you?
Do you listen to other people “share their problems” that is of the opposite sex? If you do you are playing with fire.
Work on building your marriage. Evaluate yourself honestly today and see whether you are giving place to the devil when it comes to your relationship with your mate. Do things today to bring and keep a closeness in your marriage.
I write this today after seeing this nearly destroy the marriage of a young man that is very dear to me. I write it out of love and pray that we will all take heed and not give place to the devil.
