Grace Baptist Church
I have finished preaching in MS, drove home Thursday and preached that night. Got up Friday morning headed to LA and preached last night. I will preach again tonight and tomorrow.
Grace Baptist Church, pastored by Tom Schreeder, is a wonderful group of people. Last night was their graduation ceremony for their christian school. God led me to the book of Joshua and I just wanted to share some quick thoughts with you.
1. This was a time of Transition for Joshua (Moses is now dead) vs. 1
2. This was a time of Testing for Joshua (would he go forward? what would he do now?) (vs.3)
3. This was a time of Trusting for Joshau (vs.5) Gods promises of victory. He said he would be with him, He would not fail or forsake him.
all this hinges to me on vs. 8 - This Book of the law….THIS BOOK. oh the importance of the word of God.
a. Will we acknowledge its authority?
b. will we accept it personally? in our mouth, meditating upon it
c. will we apply it daily? to do according to all that is written.
FOR THEN thou shalt make thy way prosperous and find good success.
